Frank Guerra

Founder and Principal

Frank Guerra is a Founder and Principal of Altis Cardinal as well as Altis, LLC. Prior to that, Frank was Principal and President of Neo Development and Neo Holdings. Frank has overseen development and construction of several high-rise and mid-rise residential projects totaling over 3,000,000 square feet (over $850 million) as well as property and asset management of residential and office assets in excess of 2,300,000 square feet. Altis Cardinal has developed particular expertise in the multifamily space having acquired or developed over 2,000 units throughout Florida, Texas and Nevada. Previously, Frank led a distinguished legal career most notably practicing real estate law at Bilzin Sumberg in Miami. Frank earned his law degree with an emphasis in real estate and transactional law, and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in finance, both from George Washington University. Frank is a licensed attorney and member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Alberto J. Suarez

Founder and Principal

Alberto J. Suarez is a Founder and Principal of Altis Cardinal. Prior to Altis Cardinal, AJ founded Cardinal Development Group, performing commercial development and construction, land rezoning, land investment, third-party consulting, condo conversions and workouts, presiding over $100 million in assets. At a young age, Mr. Suarez was entrusted with the development of multi-million-dollar projects which he carried out successfully during his tenure at Codina Development. Mr. Suarez was responsible for the development of over 2,000,000 square feet of industrial buildings, 300,000 square feet of office buildings and various retail projects in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Altis Cardinal has developed an expertise in the multifamily space having acquired or developed over 2,000 units throughout Florida, Texas and Nevada. At the University of Pennsylvania, AJ earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The School of Engineering and Applied Science. He later earned a Master’s in Civil Engineering while attending Stanford University. Mr. Suarez is a certified General Contractor and a licensed realtor in the State of Florida.

Mauricio Gurdian

Principal and COO

Mauricio Gurdian is Director of Development at Altis Cardinal. Bringing over ten years of development experience, Mauricio oversees financial and strategic planning pre-construction and drives projects towards stabilization post-construction. He previously worked in development of agricultural-industrial businesses overseeing ground-to-fork processes from African and South American producers to European and North American consumers. Mauricio earned a BS in Industrial Management/Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
